This will answer some common questions during installation or other common occasions.
¶ My game crashed, what should I do?
You should grab a latest crash report from your crash-reports folder in your instance folder and post it in bug-reports-and-to-do .
This is found under your Documents folder -> BroodBundle Launcher -> instances -> Burrito Bundle -> minecraft -> crash-reports
¶ Why is MacOS not supported?
This is because gaming on Mac is a general nightmare using their own technologies compared to industry standards causing a lot of issues with many of the mods we have.
¶ Why use your own launcher compared to standards like CurseForge, Modrinth, GDLauncher, etc.?
Few reasons:
- I needed a way to streamline installation process for people with close to no modding experience;
- Modpack formats such as from CurseForge have caused issues for us in the past, especially with mods that need tweaking for compatibility or (back)porting to the version required;
- SKCraft Launcher (what our launcher is based from) is an amazing launcher for customizing modpacks and makes it easy to ship all the requirements needed for certain edge-cases (i.e: Steam Deck compatibility);
- Fun pet project.
¶ Why change survival worlds every 6-8 months? Can't we have a forever world?
Generally this is not a great idea as hosting all of this costs money and I'd prefer it to be used to get the money's worth. Most Minecraft servers we have hosted so far last up to 3 months of playtime before people start losing their interest and stop joining. The frequent changes in modpack and worldsaves is to combat this and keep interests high. If a forever world would ever be created, it will be a very minimal modpack that won't drain as much resources as our big ones do.
¶ Can we download previous worlds for us to explore and/or continue playing on?
Yes! Since our Summer 2024 server, I have been keeping backups of our worlds and they are uploaded on my archive for you to download. I do warn that these worlds can be up to 100GB in size even after being trimmed and I will not provide help as to installing it but am willing to provide the correct modpack files in case that's wanted.
